What is Live Strong Live Long?

Does your ongoing health condition make you give up important things? Are you giving up time with friends and family, such as weddings? Or little things like going for a walk?
If yes, then our Live Strong Live Long workshop will help you reduce your pain, anxiety, and tiredness and help you live with vitality again. 
In this 6-session workshop, you will learn to:
  • Better manage pain and fatigue
  • Communicate your needs to family, friends, and doctors
  • Deal with difficult emotions that come with living with a chronic disease
  • Safely increase physical activity so you can live life to the fullest
  • Eat well to support your health
  • Problem-solve your most difficult dilemmas
  • Set goals to empower you to live with vitality

You may benefit from this workshop if you have or you care for someone with chronic health conditions, such as:
  • Diabetes
  • Arthritis
  • High blood pressure

What will you do during the Live Strong Live Long workshop?

Each 2 1/2 hour session is led by two trained lay leaders. The class size is limited to 15 participants because small group discussions and problem-solving are an important part of the workshop. You'll develop skills to break out of the symptom cycle and become a good self-manager of your health so that you can live with vitality again.
